CALL FOR PAPERS

Workshop Objective International Workshop on Intellectual Property Law in Perspective of Economic Growth and Wealth Creation (IWOIP17) on August 16-19, 2017 İzmir (Turkey) aims to establish a collaboration to stimulate long term academic relations between the UK and Turkey by bringing together a bilateral cohort of academic fellows, scientists, researchers and scholars doing research on IP law, and make an awareness on the debates concerning universal IP issues.  It also aims to contribute the development of IP law in Turkey, and hence support the economic growth and wealth creation. The workshop has two partner institutions, Queen Mary University of London and Ankara University, and the British Council is the financial supporter of the workshop.

Who should attend? International Workshop on Intellectual Property Law in Perspective of Economic Growth and Wealth Creation (IWOIP17) provides an opportunity academics, researchers, practitioners, scholars and consultants to present their papers, exchange their ideas about all aspects of intellectual property law, and discuss the solutions adopted. Although there will also be presenters from the UK at the workshop, this call for papers is intended to participants only from Turkey.

Abstract Submission Only oral presentations are accepted. There will be no poster or virtual presentation. All abstracts must not exceed 300 words, and should have keywords. Abstracts should be sent directly to iwoip17@gmail.com together with an application form. The language of the workshop is English. Papers in Turkish and any other language will not be accepted. Please note that there will be no simultaneous translation at workshop.

Full Paper Submission Full paper submission is optional. All full papers will be peer-reviewed. Please note that there may be a publishing opportunity for all accepted full papers on an international refereed journal or an international edition as a book chapter.

Social Networking Events Workshop will give an opportunity to attend Welcoming Cocktail, Welcome Dinner and Post Workshop Guided Tour to Ephesus Ancient City and House of Virgin Mary on August 19, 2017. Please note that there will also be a networking session at the workshop. Please note that no additional charges will be required from the participants for the social networking events.

Workshop Venue and Accommodation Workshop will be held in a 5* hotel at the city centre of İzmir (Alsancak). Accommodation expenses (including breakfast, and three-day lunch meals) of all accepted presenter will be covered by the British Council.

Travel Travel expenses (flight tickets to İzmir and local transportation from the hotel to Ephesus) of all accepted presenters will be covered by the British Council.

Fees There will be no workshop fees. All the expenses of the workshop will be covered by the British Council from the Newton-Katip Çelebi Researchers Link Worksop Grant.
